Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year In Dance!
We are excited about working with you and experiencing the wonderful world of dance together! Dance empowers students of all cultures, abilities and learning styles to know themselves and to know their world. It cultivates the whole child by developing critical and divergent thinking, self-awareness and personal voice. Bridging the verbal and the non-verbal together, dance provides multiple opportunities to explore the basic human need for creativity and reflection. It is our mission to provide da Vinci students with a unique dance experience focusing on quality education in dance. Nurturing creative talents in a positive environment, building confidence, promoting leadership, reinforcing moral values and enhancing self-esteem are the cornerstones of our mission as dance educators. -The daVinci Dance Staff |

Sara Martins (Dance Director): smartins@pps.net
Sara is an alumna of the Jefferson Dancers, and holds a BA in Dance from UCLA. An experienced and versatile dance educator, Sara served as the Associate Director of Dance at The Buckley School in LA, ran the dance program at the Northwest Academy, and is an award-winning theatre choreographer, as well as the choreographer for the Portland Gay Men's Chorus.
